Victoire and Alexandre's wedding

Hello Victoire,

Thank you for agreeing to tell us about your wedding.

Who are you ? age, profession, city ...

I am Victoire and I am 25 years old. I am a psychomotor therapist with young children in Paris.

What time of year did your wedding take place?

Our wedding was on May 11, 2019

Where ? Why ?

It took place at the Grange de Bresteau in the Sarthe. La Sarthe, because my husband and I are from there and our parents live there. The barn of Bresteau, because it is a place that resembles us, rural and charming.

How long did you have to organise all the preparations?

6 months, we were busy! We wanted to be efficient and fast ;)

What was the easiest and the least easy in the preparations?

The easiest was the distribution of tasks and the choice of dress, children's outfits, decoration ... we were not complicated, we did not have high expectations in terms of material so everything went smoothly. and stress free. The hardest part was to let things happen, I really wanted everything to be done quickly to avoid stress ... The advantage is that in 6 months, I did not have time to stress!

Did you have a theme or a color? why this choice?

During an experience in Gabon, we brought back a large African loincloth (wax fabric). It is a trip that marked our couple. It was therefore very symbolic to put a touch of this fabric everywhere and make it the theme of our wedding.

Was choosing your dress easy? which creator?

Yes, I did not hesitate! I tried on 6 dresses and among them I fell in love with it. I went to see a seamstress I know in Sarthe, with whom I designed my dress based on the idea of the one I had tried on. We added things, removed others ... My seamstress is called Anne-Cecile Cotreuil and is based 1 hour from Le Mans. She was available, attentive and full of good ideas!

Did you have children of honor?

Which model (s) did you choose?

For girls, the bell dress with a ruffled wax collar (wedding fabric) accompanied by a wax belt and a wax headband in the hair For boys, the peter pan shirt with a wax pocket accompanied by 'a wax belt They all had a custom-made fleece cape with a pretty wax border.

Did you take a photographer for D-Day? would you recommend it?

Yes, Ludovic Leclerc we recommend! He practices in the west of France.

Did you have entrance music for dinner? if yes which one ? why this choice ?

Yes, Baiana de Bakermat why this choice? We love to dance to this music with our friends, and its African rhythm side makes us travel and brings back good memories!

Assessment of this unique day?

It was wonderful ! We were thrilled, surrounded by those we love and with whom we love to party! The atmosphere was there from morning to night!

Best memories ?

The very joyful and lively mass; The reception in this magical place in the middle of the greenery; the dinner with twisting speeches and the evening atmosphere!

If you had to do it again, what would you do differently?

Nothing, we are very happy with this wedding where joy and simplicity were at the rendez vous :) A special thank you to Geraldine, Les petits choux de Bruxelles, who listened to us and adapted to all our desires! We were delighted with these personalized outfits! Moreover, many guests have told us "these outfits look like you!", This shows that Geraldine is doing her best to put herself in the shoes of the bride and groom.
