Episode 3

Anne-Sophie and Jerome's wedding

Hello Anne-Sophie and Jerome,

Thank you for agreeing to tell us about your wedding.

Who are you ? age, profession, city ...

Hello, our names are Anne-Sophie and Jérôme. We are 26 and 29 years old respectively. We live in Hannut. Jérôme is a computer network engineer and I am a pediatric nurse in a respite home for children with multiple disabilities.

What time of year did your wedding take place?

We were married on July 27, 2019.

Where ? Why ?

We have already built and lived together for a few years, but I wanted very much to prepare at my mom's and to get married religiously in the small village where I grew up. We then celebrate this great day at the Ferme de Hepsée in Verlaine (Province of Liège). We were won over by this room for its modern and rustic feel.

How long did you have to organize all the preparations?

Jérôme made his request in November 2017 and we directly immersed ourselves in the search for rooms and different service providers. So, a little over a year and a half of preparations. We wanted to take the time to think and think about every detail.

What was the easiest and the least easy in the preparations?

We often have the same tastes, which has made choices and organization easier. We are quite perfectionists and wanted a certain harmony in our colors, our suite and our decoration. But we were in a sense uncomfortable having to impose a color code for some. Everyone was happy to play the game and everything went well.

Did you have a theme or a color? why this choice?

Yes, we wanted to stay in the country theme and had chosen a Liberty fabric in shades of pink and blue. We stayed in shades of blue and pink for our suite with touches of kraft for the invitations and our decor.

Was choosing your dress easy? which creator?

Not really, after doing more than a dozen ready-to-wear stores. Having a very specific idea in mind as and when I try on it, I turned to a designer from Liège: Ann Piron. I was delighted with the result, with the criteria I expected. I felt myself.

Did you have children of honor?

How many? 5

what ages? Between 3 and 12 years old

girls and boys ? 3 girls and 2 boys

Which model (s) did you choose?

We had chosen the Cléophée model with small lace sleeves as a reminder of my wedding dress, but I also really liked croquets. The choice between the two was difficult. And with this dress, the little girls wore belts with our pink Liberty Wiltshire fabric also made by Les Petits Choux de Bruxelles. Thank you again to Géraldine for making this customization possible. Thank you also for his welcome and his kindness during the fittings (which are not always easy with children).

Did you take a photographer for D-Day? would you recommend it?

Yes, we had chosen Jehanne Moll. A photographer from Liège who accompanied us with the preparations at the start of the evening. We highly recommend it. Jehanne has an unparalleled sweetness, she always listens attentively and her kindness characterizes her. We are also super happy with our photos which are emotional and authentic.

Did you have entrance music for dinner? if yes which one ? why this choice ?

Not especially for dinner, but for the cake we chose "Coldplay, A sky full of stars. "

Assessment of this unique day?

Perfect ! Apart from the very Belgian rain which was present throughout the day without interruption, but that did not prevent us from living this day intensely.

Best memories ?

- Our religious ceremony during which we were in our bubble. We really enjoyed this moment. The mass remains a very good memory, it was decorated with a choir with songs that we particularly liked, touching texts from our loved ones, our exchange of vows, moreover we had invited a young harpist who sublimated this moment and we deeply moved.

- The moment when the two of us just found ourselves, in an ancestor car, between the church and the hall.

- The speeches of our loved ones and their surprises during the afternoon.

If you had to do it again, what would you do differently?

We would not change anything. It was perfect and will remain an unforgettable day for us.
